TEG has been at the heart of the live event experience for 50 years through our touring and ticketing operations. In recent years we have welcomed many new members to the TEG family of businesses by expanding into new markets, genres and capabilities. Through our integrated operating model we bring the best live content, ticketing and technology to our partners and create memories for fans that last a lifetime. We are headquartered in Sydney, Australia and operate globally.

Dainty Group, later TEG Dainty, first tours the Rolling Stones in Australia and New Zealand
1979
Kerry Packer’s PBL Media creates Ticketek, the business that TEG will later be built upon, to sell tickets to the groundbreaking World Series Cricket tournament
1982
Van Egmond Group, today's TEG Van Egmond, commences its longstanding touring relationship with AC/DC

Kerry Packer’s PBL Media buys the long-term lease for the Sydney Super Dome, today’s Qudos Bank Arena, in Sydney’s Olympic Park

Nine Entertainment creates Nine Live, adding touring, events and exhibitions to its Ticketek and Qudos Bank Arena business. Nine Live’s first tour is One Direction

Ticketek launches BOOST, becoming the first ticketing agent to establish an in-house digital agency

Ticketek expands its data and insights business – and sets up its Analytics division to help promoters market better to their customer bases

TEG is formed as an independent leader in live entertainment, ticketing and technology when Affinity Partners acquires Nine Live from Nine Entertainment and rebrands the company as TEG
2016
TEG acquires tier-1 concert, theatre and comedy promoter Dainty Group, which becomes TEG Dainty. TEG also acquires Life Like Touring and The Entertainment Store
2017-19
TEG acquires the No.1 ticketing company in Malaysia, TicketCharge, the leading Philippines ticketing company, TicketWorld, and creates Ticketek Singapore

TEG is acquired by Silver Lake, the world’s leading investor in technology and entertainment (with support from co-investor Mercury Capital) and continues to grow its integrated business model

TEG is awarded global Ticketing Business of the Year as Ticketek launches world-first tap-and-go NFC ticketing

TEG acquires UK-based promoter and venue owner MJR Group, now TEG MJR, and Australian promoters Handsome Tours and Van Egmond Group, now TEG Van Egmond, while investing in leading theatre producer Michael Cassel Group (through Amplify), and taking a significant minority stake in Ambassador Theatre Group
